Prysmian Group Romania supports hospital and local authorities during COVID19 pandemic

Prysmian Cabluri și Sisteme S.A. donates 30.000 RON to Slatina Hospital to help fight against COVID19

Prysmian Group, the world's largest manufacturer of energy and telecommunications cables, continues to monitor the evolution of the virus spread in real time with the aim of preventing and minimizing the impact on the people.

In these times when the COVID19 is spreading aggressively and the number of cases is constantly increasing in our country, we should show responsibility and we all should be more united, more supportive and involved in helping those in difficulty.This week Prysmian Cabluri și Sisteme S.A. initiated two activities to support the local community in the fight against the spread of Coronavirus.

The first of these was a donation of 30.000 RON to the Slatina Emergency Hospital, money that can be used to prevention and treatment equipment against COVID19 such as medical masks, protective clothing, gloves and glasses, disinfectants and sanitation products or testing kits.

Our second initiative is a sign of appreciation for the local authorities’ efforts to implement the measures to prevent the spread of the virus: Prysmian will provide daily sandwiches deliveries to the police crews patrolling the streets of Slatina starting with 30.03.2020 until 17.04.2020.

To support the efforts made by doctors and authorities in managing the pandemic, other companies from industrial platform of Slatina joined this mission and our Prysmian Group colleagues worldwide are also working to support the people, the hospitals and the local authorities in the countries where they operate.

We encourage all those who can support to contribute to the joint efforts to combat the virus.
