  • 1973 Establishment of the factory
  • 1991 The company becomes "ELCARO" - private company
  • 1996 Change of shareholder: "SIEMENS"
  • 1997 Start production of medium voltage cables
  • 1998 Start production of copper telecommunication cables
  • 1999 Change of shareholder: PIRELLI
  • 2005 Change of shareholder: PRYSMIAN
  • 2009 Start production of fibre optic telecom cables
  • 2010 Modernisation of medium voltage line, CCV1
  • 2011 Prysmian-Draka becomes Prysmian Group
  • 2012 Start production of fibre optic telecom cables in new location
  • 2015 Installation of CCV2 line for production of high voltage cables
  • 2015 Start construction of new factory for production of fibre optic telecom cables in Milcov
  • 2016 Qualification of high voltage cables for IEC markets
  • 2017 Official opening of the Milcov factory on 13 June
  • 2018 Obtains JAC award for high sustainable performance
  • 2018 Prysmian Group merges with General Cables
  • 2019 Opening of the Fibre Unit in Slatina
