1973 Establishment of the factory
1991 The company becomes "ELCARO" - private company
1996 Change of shareholder: "SIEMENS"
1997 Start production of medium voltage cables
1998 Start production of copper telecommunication cables
1999 Change of shareholder: PIRELLI
2005 Change of shareholder: PRYSMIAN
2009 Start production of fibre optic telecom cables
2010 Modernisation of medium voltage line, CCV1
2011 Prysmian-Draka becomes Prysmian Group
2012 Start production of fibre optic telecom cables in new location
2015 Installation of CCV2 line for production of high voltage cables
2015 Start construction of new factory for production of fibre optic telecom cables in Milcov
2016 Qualification of high voltage cables for IEC markets
2017 Official opening of the Milcov factory on 13 June
2018 Obtains JAC award for high sustainable performance
2018 Prysmian Group merges with General Cables
2019 Opening of the Fibre Unit in Slatina
